Description
A three-day seasonal celebration unlike any other as the stars align and fireflies emerge this June!
The Summer Festival is an opportunity for students, colleagues, and friends of Spikenard to gather for renewal and inspiration. The inner life of the beehive teaches us so much about the rhythms of the Earth, as well as our human soul. At the highest point of the Sun, we will come together for three days of special lectures, deepened experiences of the beehives and plants, artistic work, tending of sanctuary land, and musical celebration.
This year’s themes explore the inspirations and practices for the renewal of cultural life by weaving the thread of the seasonal festivals from Pentecost to the St. John’s Festival. We will be joined by our friends Matias Baker and Svava Carlsen, who are carrying this festival work so beautifully in California. Our time together will include building an analemma altar to mark the yearly progression of the Sun’s path in relation to the Earth, personal biography and healing work, as well as continued inspiration from Rudolf Steiner’s Agriculture Lectures, which marked the birth of biodynamics 100 years ago.
Come and join us for something truly meaningful, as it is co-created by all those who participate.
Homemade organic snacks and lunch are provided each day.
