Suggestions for a successful overwintering of hives and new start in the spring

The season of contraction and preparation for the winter months has already begun for the beehives. In this 3-day hands-on workshop, we will learn everything we need to know to support the hive organism in forming a healthy winter cluster and all the ways we can help the bees to make it strongly through the winter months. Topics include honey and feeding, hive wrapping, ventilation and insulation, health checks, biome remedies, and tips for getting the honeybees through the starving time until the dandelions bloom in the spring.

This class can be taken as a stand-alone course or as part of our comprehensive four-module Spikenard Biodynamic Beekeeping Training.

As always, home-cooked organic lunches and snacks will be provided.
